Kildrochet Cottage is a wing of Kildrochet House, which is situated on the corner of the A716 and B7077. The address is Kildrochet House Stranraer Wigtownshire DG9 9BB.

Directions By Car from Glasgow 
From Glasgow take the M8 motorway South towards Kilmarnock and Ayr. Then follow signs for the M71 to Ayr. Stay on that road, it changes to the A71 and from Ayr the A71 then is signposted for Stranraer. Stay on the road until you reach Stranraer and as you come into Stranraer, take a left at the sign for Port Patrick and the A71. Follow that road and at the end take a left heading out of Stranraer. Stay on that road, it turns into the A716, you will pass a number of signs for Port Patrick, ignore them . You will then pass a white equestrian centre. The next turning to the left is the B7077, take a sharp left into Kildrochet House. Please park at the back of the house, the cottage entrance is in the courtyard at the back. (approx 2 hours 30 minutes journey time)

Directions By Car from Preswick Airport
The airport is next to the A71. When you leave the airport follow the signs for Glasgow/Kilmarnock A71 until you see the sign for A71 Stranraer. Follow the signs to Stranraer by staying on the A71. From Ayr follow the signs as detailed above. (approx 1 hour 30 minutes journey time)

There is a train station at Preswick Airport, which enables you to get to Ayr for a connecting train to Stranraer. Please check train time tables carefully as the trains are infrequent. Glasgow Central are served by direct Anglo / Scottish train services. There are regular (almost every hour) day trains between London Euston and Glasgow Central between 0700 and 1800 hours (5 hours approx journey time) There is also a daily direct sleeper service operated by Scotrail from London Euston departing (approx 2345 hours) arriving in Glasgow Central at (approx 0715 hours) and a corresponding return service departing from Glasgow Central (approx 2340 hours) arriving London Euston at (approx 0700 hours). Glasgow Central is also where the Stranraer train leaves from.

There are a few direct trains from Glasgow Central to Stranraer and a number of indirect trains that go via Ayr. As the trains are relatively infrequently, please ensure you have your tickets purchased prior to boarding and arrive at the station in good time.
